Principles matter. Choice matters.

I hope more people from different disciplines step forward to make a change in America’s political climate today. The wellness of American public should not come down to "left" versus "right" argument. I have discussed my personal views on the subject backed by both my firsthand experience as a healthcare worker and my academic understanding of political science. Working in healthcare during the time of Covid-19 Pandemic, really highlighted the flaws in our current healthcare system, and the response from the Federal government was abhorrent to say the least. I was so frustrated seeing the misinformation spreading like wildfire around social media and the divide it was causing between “right” and “left” that I decided to take things into my own hands. The time for misinformation is over. We need people solutions that are based on principles and the betterment for the American people.

Election integrity

This is where transparency comes into play. When security is relied upon someone becomes the watchmen. This is inherently a recipe for disaster because humans are flawed and have their own ideas, beliefs, and agendas… Who watches the watchmen? In this day and age, let's find ways to decentralize and incorporate things such as blockchain technology to restore public faith.

Gun Control

Criminals by definition are those that break the law. Having said that, with the use of simple logic there is no gun law that will stop a criminal. Any law that binds a citizen's ability to defend themselves is an infringement on the 2nd amendment. There is actually an astonishing lack of data that supports restrictions on firearms as I have personally noted in my studies at Ohio State University. What I can advocate for is fire safety classes. Arming, disarming, and breaking down a firearm are essential skills to learn.

Immigration

The United States is the most accepting nation in the world. It’s something I’m personally proud of because of the people I have met in my lifetime. Having said that, we must focus on the sustainability of the nation's care and generosity towards its own citizens. Even former President Obama has blasted Joe Biden’s open border policies. Arizona can and will do better to be at the forefront of securing the US border and maintaining a pathway for those that share our love for freedom.

Congress is a duty and honor

It is clear the vast majority of the political elite have lost touch. Term limits are paramount. My goal is to establish legislation to limit house terms to 5 (10 years total). Based on years served, this number is just above 2 terms (8 years) for a President and just below 2 terms (12 years) of a Senator. There is zero rationale for members to be in the house for close to 40 years and get away with blaming the nation's issues on every single president of the opposite party over decades. Moreover, we need an influx of the average American engaged and bringing their expertise in their disciple to the floor of the capitol. I want more teachers, more engineers, more nurses, etc. I want less career politicians and lawyers that are well versed in manipulating the system.

Federal Spending

My generation has now experienced two recessions, a pandemic, and federal spending/inflation and the likes of which have never been seen in this nation. The ability and know how to build generational wealth is slipping away. I seek to restrict the federal government's self proclaimed power in the matter. The pandemic has exacerbated and illustrated how mismanaged the nation is from top to bottom. For example, There is zero reason why our brothers and sisters in Flint, Michigan went without clean water for how long, while we have zero issue sending millions and billions of dollars to foreign nations. It’s unacceptable and I know as a whole we do not tolerate these poor habits.
